COLCA VALLEY
The Colca Valley is located in the Southern region of Peru. The valley is best known for hosting one of the deepest canyons in the world — the perfect viewpoint from where the magistic Andean Condors, a bird with a wingspan of more than 3 meters (10 feet), can be seen throughout the year. The Colca Valley is a colorful valley with pre-Inca roots, and although influences by Spanish colonial times, the valley is still inhabited by people of the Collagua and the Cabana cultures–people that arrived in the pre-Inca era and who maintain their ancestral traditions and continue to cultivate the pre-Inca stepped terraces.
