Tote Bag - Isla del Sol

This beautiful handmade tote bag was originally a blanket, better known as a frazada in South America. The blanket is made by a Bolivian Cholita, using colors and patterns that respresent her community and village she is from. Each frazada is authentic, made with the greatest care and takes approximately 3 weeks to create. 

Just near the coast of Copacabana, in the famous lake Titicaca, lays the island 'Del Sol'. According to the Inca's this is the place where their god Inti is born and therewith also their culture. This frazada comes from that region.
